Lagos Life houses and rent
Every Lagos Life home has a weekly rent, taken every Saturday at 9 AM game time. In Lagos, rent runs from ₦2,400 a week for a face-me-I-face-you room in Mushin to ₦1,500,000 for the Banana Island mansion. Abuja and Port Harcourt have their own homes. You find them in Phone → Houses, where the help says you can “Rent it (3 weeks upfront) or Buy it outright and never pay rent again.” Below are all Lagos Life houses and their rent, from the game's own data.

How much is rent in Lagos Life?
Weekly rent for Lagos Life houses, in Game Naira. “Starting cash” is the money a new character gets when choosing that home on the sign-up screen; homes marked “—” are not starting options. “Buy price” is the base price in Phone → Houses, worked out from the game's pricing formula; it is not raised by Big Man prices. Homes marked * are duplexes: when the game's two-floor duplex feature is switched on, new tenants and buyers pay 25% more for them.

How does rent work?
- Rent day: “Rent is paid every Saturday.” Staff wages and insurance premiums are charged on the same bill.
- Moving in: the help says renting takes three weeks upfront.
- More than one home: you can keep a home in each city, and “Every home pays its own rent on Saturday.”
- Can't pay? If you owe two weeks or more, Baba Landlord sends a Quit Notice: “You must pack out to a cheaper place.”
Should you rent or buy houses in Lagos Life?
Buying ends the weekly rent; on rent day the game says “No rent this week: the house is yours.” The Houses screen shows the purchase price and roughly how many weeks of rent it would take to pay for itself. A home you own counts in your net worth at what you paid, can be sold back, and only a home you own can be extended. Selling it back returns 80% of what you paid, plus extensions. Homes are not sold at Big Man prices; the table above lists each base buy price, and the Houses screen shows the price that applies to you.
Can you lose your house in Lagos Life?
Yes, if you fall two weeks or more behind on rent. If moving to another city took your Lagos home, the help says to open Phone → Houses and tap “🔑 Get your home back”: “It's free, once, for recent moves.” For travel between cities, see Abuja and Port Harcourt.
